If you’re someone who played World of Warcraft a long time ago or someone who has managed to avoid it all these years, it’s hard to get interested in new expansions. It’s a bunch of features and tweaks to existing […]

The Dark Souls 3 trailer is stuffed with several shots from the game, but there’s still so little context and information to go on. It’s hard to tell who is who and what is what. But there’s a couple things that […]

Tyler Colp wrote a new post, 3 fantastic Life Is Strange Ep. 4 moments that are as good as The Walking Dead Season 1 5 years, 6 months ago
One of the many reasons Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 1 worked was its careful attention to characters. The series built up its cast of survivors just to put them into incredibly tense situations to make […]

The big, final decision in A Nest of Vipers, the penultimate episode in Telltale’s Game of Thrones series, demonstrates the strength of the developer’s player-choice-based storyline. It’s the peak of two […]

The number of days between us and Dark Souls 3 are dropping. All we have to do is get through the holiday season and it’ll feel like it’s right around the corner, as long as it doesn’t get delayed, that is.

Tyler Colp wrote a new post, This is what a Batman: Arkham-style Superman game could look like 5 years, 6 months ago
The leaked image of a Batman: Arkham-looking Superman game might be fake (or not), but we can still speculate on what a Warner Bros. Superman game could look like. And with games like Shadow of Mordor, a […]

Tyler Colp wrote a new post, Nobody likes Batman: Arkham Knight's Batmobile, here's why 5 years, 7 months ago
Batman: Arkham Knight has a lot of things going for it. The combat is as good as ever, the gliding is still intuitive and satisfying, and the story is a solid conclusion to Rocksteady’s trilogy. But there’s one […]

Tyler Colp wrote a new post, The one developer that nailed video game storytelling this week 5 years, 8 months ago
The last Game of Thrones episode from Telltale, Sons of Winter, is very good. Like, very, very good.
It used each of its four main characters to construct tough decisions, made even harder with the developer’s […]

I think Sons of Winter is the best episode in Telltale’s Game of Thrones series so far. It was intense, it had a lot of tension and a great narrative line.
However, with each episode frustration grows in me as I see the game is full of issues. On Xbox 360 (and maybe on other platforms too) the sound begins before the image, sometimes I can hear only a couple of words from a character’s lines. And in this episode the chapter 1 achievement hasn’t not popped up when it should.
I am very dissapointed because these endless issues… But Telltale Games are lucky that I am a big fan of GoT and I will continue to play the game no matter how buggy it is.
