Early this morning Nintendo released a trailer announcing the highly anticipated next generation of Pokémon, PokémonScarlet and Violet. Many fans have been speculating that the recent release of PokémonLegends Arceus was simply the beginning of Pokémon this year. The trailer starts with a security guard entering the Game freak office modeled after the newest region, and is quickly transported to the world of Pokémon. You can check out the trailer below.
PokémonScarlet and Violet seems to follow the advancements made in the recent Legends Arceus. A vast open world with full 3D models of Pokémon. We even see multiple Pokémon scattered through the city, mixing with the normal lives of the citizens. Seeing the Pokémon is a casual setting is a great breath of fresh air for the series.
Even though we mostly saw older generations of Pokémon in the open world, the trailer ended with a reveal of the new starters. We have Sprigatito, a grass type cat Pokémon; Fuecoco a fire type crocodile Pokémon; and Quaxly, a water type duck Pokémon.
While no exact release date was given, we were given a release window of late 2022. Are you excited for the next generation of Pokémon? Which starter are you picking? Let us know in the comments below!
