Team17 Unveils Release Dates and More at Golden Joystick Awards

During the 2021 Golden Joystick Awards, publisher Team17 announces multiple release dates, titles and updates in the works. The British publishing company is responsible for numerous independent games, including titles like Overcooked, Moving Out and the iconic Worms series. During the awards, Team17 released a showcase trailer announcing all the upcoming information. You can check everything announced below.


Blasphemous, the Metroidvania game developed by studio The Game Kitchen will be releasing its upcoming DLC for free. The DLC titled Wounds of Eventide, will release as a free update for all players on December 9th, 2021. Blasphemous originally released on September 19th, 2019 for Nintendo Switch, Xbox one, and PlayStation 4.

The Serpent Rogue

The Serpent rogue is an action-adventure game, developed by Sengi Games. Gameplay revolves around mastering the art of alchemy and taming wild animals. A demo is available now for steam, with a full release date expected for some time in 2022. The serpent rogue will be available for Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.


Thymesia is a Dark Souls inspired action-RPG developed by OverBorder Studio. Expect punishing combat that revolves around a system called the plague weapons. Thymesia was given a release window of 2022 for Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

The Unliving

The Unliving, developed by RocketBrush Studio, is a rogue-like action RPG where you play as a necromancer. Raise your enemies from the dead all in a classic pixel art style. The demo is available now on Steam with an early access release expected in the first half of 2022.

Age of Darkness: Final Stand

Age of Darkness: Final Stand is a dark fantasy, survival RTS developed by PlaySide. You must build and defend the last bastion in a world consumed by a deadly fog. Age of Darkness: Final Stand is available for early access on Steam now. The early access was released alongside a free update titled The Queens Fury.

Epic Chef

Epic Chef is a story driven adventure game developed by Infinigon. Part farming-simulator, part life-simulator, the game aims to blend the two into one to create an interactive cooking experience. Epic Chef is available now for Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.


Hammerting, developed by Warpzone Studios, is a colony building and mining game. You’ll manage a colony of Dwarves as they expand their settlement into the heart of the mountain. Hammerting is available now on steam.

Before We Leave

Before We Leave is a city-building game developed by Balancing Monkey Games. You’ll be tasked with rediscovering and developing civilization in a small corner of the Universe. Before We Leave is available now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, Steam and Epic Games Store.

Honey, I Joined a Cult

Honey, I Joined a Cult is a single-player recourse management game developed by Sole Survivor Games. You’re tasked with managing a rising cult in the 70’s. You can control everything from your cults symbol to toilet placement. Honey, I Joined a Cult is available now for Early Access now on Steam, with a Christmas update planned for December 15th, 2022.

Hell Let Loose

Hell Let Loose, developed by studio Black Matter, is a tactical multiplayer first-person shooter. Set in World War II, you’ll play on the platoon level in iconic battles on the eastern and western fronts. Hell Let Loose is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. A free update titled Outflank was announced for release on December 7th, 2021.

Greak: Memories of Azur

Greak: Memories of Azur is side-scrolling action game developed by Navegante Entertainment. You control three siblings across the lands of of Azur. You can alternate between the three of them in order to utilize their unique abilities. Greak: Memories of Azur was originally released July 12th, 2021 for Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will be available on December 14th, 2021.
