During a livestream event earlier this morning, developer People Can Fly announced that their hit looter shooter Outriders will receive a massive new update. Titled Outriders New Horizons, this update aims to fix many issues with the base game, buffing all the classes and adding some requested features to the game. You can check out the full livestream here.
The New Horizons update brings much needed change to the class balance. The update aims to improve underpowered skills and abilities to make a more balanced experience. To help with build diversity, People Can Fly have removed the timer from expeditions, the Outriders end game activity. Now classes no longer need to focus on pure damage per second in order to be effective. There has been a rework to the loot system in order to provide more opportunities to earn legendary items, as well as adding duplicate item protection. Tiago, the legendary vendor, has been reworked to improve the legendary item experience.
A new major feature added to Outriders is a transmogrification system. This will allow players to look how they want regardless of gear or class. In addition to all the changes, there will be four new expeditions available as well. All players will have access to the first expedition, with the other three unlocking as you play the game. For full details on everything added, you can check out the patch notes here.
Along with the update, People Can Fly have also announced their plans for a full expansion titled Worldslayer projected to release in 2022. No details have been announced, with only a small teaser available at the moment. The New Horizons will be available to all player on November 16th. As an added bonus, any players that log in within a week of the update will receive a free legendary item. Will you be coming back to for the new update? Let us know in the comments below!
