The Kingdom Hearts Series is Finally Coming to Nintendo Switch
While the world is still recovering from the bombshell Super Smash Bros. announcement, the presentation did come with an extra bit of news. To celebrate the series 20th anniversary (and Sora’s inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate), the Kingdom Hearts All-in-One Bundle is coming to Nintendo Switch. Titled Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud, this bundle includes cloud versions of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re:Mind. You can check out the announcement and more news in the 20th anniversary trailer below.
While fans have been wanting the series to come to Switch for a very long time, it’s unfortunate that it only appears to be the Cloud versions. It’s understandable for some of the content in Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and for Kingdom Hearts III, but it’s an unusual choice for the original set of games. The biggest issue is that the games won’t be available to play offline, meaning you can’t truly take the series on the go. Either way, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory will soon no longer be the only Switch entry in the series. No release date is currently given, but we’ll likely learn that info soon!
