TGS 2021 | Final Fantasy VII: The First SOLDIER Gets a New Trailer
During Tokyo Game Show 2021, Square Enix revealed an updated look at Final Fantasy VII: The First SOLDIER. Not only does this trailer show off more gameplay, but it gives us a good look at the available classes in this upcoming Final Fantasy battle royale title. It also emphasizes a 2021 release for iOS and Android. You can heck out the new trailer below.
The new trailer gives players a glimpse of gameplay from all five current classes: Warrior, Sorcerer, Monk, Ranger, and the newly announced Ninja. Each class has a variety of special skills, from special melee abilities to buffs and spells. Of course, all classes can also wield guns for a more traditional battle royale experience. Players interested in the Ninja class will get a variety of class specific abilities. Ninjas can double jump, wield throwing shuriken, turn themselves invisible briefly, and even teleport using their kunai dagger. The Ninja is obviously based on Yuffie from Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade, but now players can utilize those skills in an all new way.
Square Enix also announced the new “Collection” feature, allowing players to obtain special pieces from Secret boxes, defeated monsters or special missions. These materials can be exchanged for special seasonal items to update their character look. There will also be a training mode, allowing new players to get a feel for the game. More experienced players can even use it as a place to practice at any time.
Final Fantasy VII: The First SOLDIER is expected to release in November as a free download with in-app purchases. Square Enix should be announcing pre-registration for players to sign up later this month. What do you think? Are you looking forward to the first Final Fantasy battle royale?
