TGS 2021 | Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising Impresses With Gameplay Footage
Even though the Kickstarter campaign last year for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes was a smashing success, it is still a ways off from its release. Fortunately, players will have a spinoff game to keep them entertained while they wait. Shown off last week at the Tokyo Game Show, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is an action RPG with town-building elements. For a glimpse into the gameplay and style, check out the video below:
Acting as a prequel to the events of Hundred Heroes, Rising will tell the tales of several characters before the war that takes place in Hundred Heroes. And as an added bonus, it has been heavily implied that players of Rising will receive in-game perks when they link up with Hundred Heroes. Japanese developer Rabbit & Bear Studios is simultaneously working on both titles with plans of launching Rising in 2022 and Hundred Heroes in 2023. Both titles are slated to release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC.
