TGS 2021 | Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Release Date Announced
Final Fantasy spin-off Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has a new demo, and it also has a release date. During Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix announced that the game will now release on March 18th, 2022. A collaboration between Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja and Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura, this new take on Final Fantasy hopes to appeal to both newcomers and veterans of the series. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin combines strategic and challenging combat with the lore of the original Final Fantasy for an all new RPG expericence. Play as Jack and journey with your allies to the Chaos Shrine to take on Garland (or Chaos) to fulfill the Warrior of Light prophecy.
As mentioned earlier, there is a new demo available to play for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X. This demo expands on the one released in June and brings a new area to explore in the Refrin Wetlands. The demo also brings new job classes, a new ally, and new enemies as well. For the first time, players can also try out the multiplayer function for the game. The demo will run from today to October 11th, 2021 at 7:59am PST. Those who participate in the trial will be able to submit a survey to provide feedback about the game.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will release on March 18th, 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. The game will come in a standard edition as well as a Digital Deluxe edition, as well as an upgrade for standard edition purchasers. Those who purchase the Digital Deluxe option will get a digital art book, soundtrack, and a DLC season pass. The content of the season pass includes ‘Trials of the Dragon King,’ ‘Wanderer of the Rift,’ and ‘DIFFERENT FUTURE.’
