Street Fighter’s Akuma Unleashes the Satsui no Hado on Monster Hunter Rise

The next Capcom collaboration for Monster Hunter Rise has been revealed. After getting Okami’s Amaterasu last month, now the popular Switch title will be getting some Street Fighter love. The demon of the Satsui no Hado fighting style, Akuma, is coming to Monster Hunter Rise as a new piece of layered armor. After getting Ryu and Sakura in Monster Hunter World as layered armor, it’s not surprising to see Rise getting the same treatment. Akuma will release on August 27th as part of a new event quest in the game. You can see him in action in the new trailer below.

Akuma seems to have most of his iconic moves, inccluding Gohadoken, Tatsumaki Zankukyaku, Goshoryuken, and even his Sekia Kuretsuha from Street Fighter V. He also sports his design from Street Fighter V as well. Most likely, many of these moves will be variations of existing attacks in the game, but it’s possible that some will be new emotes as well. Either way, it’ll be fun to go toe to toe with a Rajang using the popular Street Fighter character.

What do you think? Are you excited to get the new layered armor? Let us know in the comments below! Monster Hunter Rise is now available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. A PC version is planned to release sometime in the future.
