E3 2021 | Former Wii U Exclusive Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water Coming to All Platforms
In an interesting announcement, the previously Wii U exclusive Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, is coming to not just Nintendo Switch, but all platforms. Revealed in the E3 2021 Nintendo Direct, it was no surprise that it was coming to Switch. It was only later than fans would see that the game would also be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC as a digital only release. The trailer from Koei Tecmo, which you can view below, shows that Nintendo is one of the copyright holders. This seems to be a Wonderful 101 situation, allowing for Koei Tecmo to produce the game for more platforms.
Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water was a 2015 Wii U exclusive release that didn’t get a lot of attention. Now coming to other platforms with additional costumes and a new photo mode, hopefully it gets a bigger audience this time. What do you think? Will you be playing the game when it releases later this year? What platform will you play it on? Let us know in the comments below!
