The Red Room Takeover Event Has Begun in Marvel’s Avengers
The next event in Marvel’s Avengers is now available with the Red Room Takeover. This single player event focuses on new five new HARM rooms where players can test their skills. The rooms scale from power level 1 to 120, offering several new mission chains as well. New hazards like techno lava and red lightning will be among the many challenges players will face. The event will go on until May 31st, 2021 for this limited time event. You can check out the Red Room in the trailer below.
Jimmy Woo is reporting several anomalies in the HARM rooms due to an unknown computer virus. Natasha Romanoff is also receiving mysterious encrypted messages. Woo’s sources tell that the virus and messages come from “Rooskaya” herself, Yelena Belova. Yelena decides to put Natasha and the other Avengers to the test in these high stakes challenges. Completion of the various mission chains will reward players with an exclusive animated nameplate. Even just participating in the event will earn a significant amount of XP, which will be important for the new Champion system.
The new Champion system is for players that have reached the level 50 level cap of the game. Gaining XP after this point becomes Champion XP, which is specific to each hero. Earning Champion XP raises your Champion level and will be marked on your nameplate while also earning Champion skill points. These points can be used to spend on new skills that will permanently boost your hero beyond their limits. Champion skill boosts include damage buffs, perk activation chances, better charge rates, and more. With the new XP system, Crystal Dynamics is also introducing Hero’s Catalysts, which boost XP for limited amounts of time. They’ll be occasionally free in the marketplace and will have other methods of obtaining them.
