The New Lombax in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Has a Name: Meet Rivet
For months, Ratchet & Clank fans have been wondering more about the newest character revealed in the announcement trailer for Rift Apart. The mysterious new Lombax has gotten a lot of attention, gathering fan art, and even an impressive cosplay. Well, today, Insomniac Games released a new gameplay trailer, giving us a proper introduction to the new character. Meet Rivet.
Rivet is voiced by the always wonderful Jennifer Hale (Mass Effect, Metroid Prime, Overwatch). The trailer also reveals more of the plot, showing that Dr. Nefarious is up to no good. Using alternate dimensions, he wishes to jump to one where he always wins, finding one where he is essentially an evil emperor. It seems that Rivet and Ratchet share sentiments about the villain. She’ll be joining him on their interdimensional quest to stop Dr. Nefarious and his evil schemes as a playable character. With an extra Lombax in tow, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart seems like it’s going to be an absolute blast.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart launches exclusively on PlayStation 5 on June 11th, 2021. Are you looking forward to the new game? What about playing as our new Lombax, Rivet? Let us know in the comments below!
