NEO: The World Ends With You Gets a Release Date and PC Version
Revealed last November, Square Enix’s upcoming The World Ends With You sequel now has a release date. NEO: The World Ends With You is releasing on July 27th, 2021 for PlayStation 4 and Switch. A PC release via the Epic Games Store is also happening sometime this Summer. Thanks to a new trailer, not only do we get a release date, but we also get the reveal of the English voice cast. This gives us a good look at the new protagonist Rindo and many of his allies. You can check out the trailer below.
The trailer also seems to reveal new features for the upcoming sequel. One aspect includes the ability to replay events to alter the outcome. The iconic and fashionable pin system is also returning to give players powerful abilities in combat. We also see some returning characters, mainly the reapers including Kariya, Uzuki, and Minamimoto. The ending of the trailer even suggests that we’ll see the original protagonist, Neku Sakuraba. NEO: The World Ends With You definitely showcases the same Tetsuya Nomura style from the original, and it even continues to put a spotlight on its Takeharu Ishimoto soundtrack.
