Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster Release Date Announced
Atlus recently announced that the Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster will release in the west on May 25 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne originally launched on PlayStation 2 in 2003. The upcoming updated version features upgraded 3D models and backgrounds, as well as additional features like new difficulty settings, a suspend save option, English and Japanese voice acting, an alternate story branch, and more.
Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster was released last October in Japan on PS4 and Switch. The western release features fixes, including patches implemented since the Japan release.
Atlus details the game below:
What begins as a normal day in Tokyo turns out to be everything but, when the Conception – an ethereal apocalypse – is invoked. The remains of the world are swallowed by chaos, as a demonic revolution descends into a broken city. Caught between a battle of gods and demons, the choices you make can bring life, rebirth, or death, and determine who triumphs.
This genre-defining, infamously punishing RPG is back and now includes:
Remastered 3D models and backgrounds
Additional difficulty settings for players of all skill levels
Suspend save – save your progress whenever you need!
Voiced audio – choose between Japanese and English VO
An alternate branch featuring Raidou Kuzunoha
The game’s Standard Edition costs $49.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition costs $69.99. This edition includes new characters, four background music packs, the Mercy and Expectation Map Pack, an easier difficulty level, and more. Additionally, owners of the Digital Deluxe Edition will be able to play the game early from May 21.
