Trunks: The Warrior of Hope is the Final DLC Story for DBZ: Kakarot
Last year, fans not only got to play through Goku’s story with Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, but also two DLC stories. While that DLC continued where the original game left off, Bandai Namco decided to change things up with the next story. During a flurry of Dragon Ball game news this weekend, Bandai Namco announced the final DLC, Trunks: The Warrior of Hope. Not only does this story take place in a different timeline, but it’s in a timeline where Goku, our main character, has already died. It’s a darker timeline where only Gohan and Trunks remain to fight off the evil Android 17 and 18. You can check out the trailer below.
Some fans may have been expecting a storyline with Broly, but this announcement is a welcome one. Considering how important Trunks is to the mythos of the series, it’s great to finally bring justice to this storyline. After a fight with Beerus and Golden Frieza, this will be a breath of fresh air. How CyberConnect2 chooses to handle it will be interesting, but it’s one we look forward to seeing. Trunks: The Warrior of Hope will release early this Summer. In the meantime, fans can play new content starting March 9th with Dragon Ball Card Warriors in the Card Blast 2 DLC.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A New Power Awakens Part 1 and Part 2 are also available as part of the season pass or together in a DLC pack. Are you looking forward to the new DLC? Let us know in the comments below.
