Square Enix and People Can Fly have released their Outriders demo today, allowing players to check out the upcoming shooter RPG before its release on April 1st. The demo is available for free on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PC, and Google Stadia. You can watch the demo launch trailer here. Square Enix has also released a few new screenshots from the demo as well, which you can check out below.

With the Outriders demo, you’ll start the game from the very beginning in the full opening chapter. Offering at least three hours of gameplay, players can make their character, choose from one of four classes, and get started in their new Altered life. Classes include the Pyromancer, Devastator, Technomancer, and the Trickster. The demo gives players multiple character slots so they can try out all the classes and find their best fit. Even better, progress carries over to the full game when purchased on the same platform. The demo also offers multiplayer for up to three players after completing the prologue. It even gives crossplay, so you don’t have to miss out on playing with your friends.

When talking about the Outriders demo, Jon Brooke, Co-Head of Studio for Square Enix External Studios had this to say: “We believe in an honest and transparent marketing campaign, and what better way to deliver on this promise than to allow players to experience Outriders before launch with a free demo on their chosen platform. This is a big demo as well, they can spend hours on Enoch, exploring different classes, powers and character builds. They can even transfer their progress to the main game. What players will see in the demo is just the tip of the iceberg, it’s just the start of the epic journey players are in for on April 1”.
