Monster Hunter Rise Trailer Reveals New Monsters and Rampage Gameplay
During the newest Nintendo Direct, a new trailer for Monster Hunter Rise emerged. The trailer shows off new monsters, new locations, and even details the brand new Rampage. You can check out the trailer below!
The trailer starts us off in a new location, the Lava Caverns as we see hunters take on the new monster Rakna-Kadaki. Rakna-Kadaki’s sticky threads and fiery blasts will surely be challenging for even seasoned hunters. Shortly after, we see two returning monsters, the Basarios and Volvidon, both bringing their A-game to Monster Hunter Rise. The trailer then takes us to the Sandy Plains, a desert-like area with large canyons and muddy pools. It’s here we see another new monster, Almudron, using the mud as a terraforming weapon.
After showcasing the new locations, the trailer quickly shifts to the new Rampage gameplay. This mode seems to show off a defensive battle against several incoming monsters. Hunters will have to give it their all to stop the incoming hoard from devastating Kamura Village. The trailer shows many other returning monsters like Diablos, Rathian, and Rajang as well. All of these monsters will be subject to the new Wyvern Riding mechanic, so players will be able to use them against other monsters. Check out these monsters and more in the screenshots below.
We also get our first look at the Apex monsters, which lead the charge of the Rampage. This threat is so powerful, that even the twin quest maidens, Hinoa and Minoto, will join the battle to aid you. Capcom plans on releasing more information soon, so stay tuned.
