Famicom Detective Club Comes to North America for the First Time
A blast from the past, Nintendo is bringing back Famicom Detective Club, and for the first time ever, the series is getting a release in North America. Even better, it will arrive with not one, but two titles, both recreated using the Nintendo Switch hardware! Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir and Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind will release on May 14th. Both games will cost $34.99 separately, though buying one gets you $10 off the other. Check out the trailer below!
Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir
A remake of the original Famicom Detective Club game, The Missing Heir will have players hunt for clues and interrogate suspects to seek answers regarding the tragedy that befalls the Ayashiro family. As a detective with amnesia, players will have to uncover their own past while solving a harrowing murder mystery. The game is remade from the ground up, though players will also have the option to use retro 8-bit soundtrack.
Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind
A remake of the second entry in the Famicom Detective Club series, this is actually a prequel to the original game. The Girl Who Stands Behind tasks players with gathering clues to uncover a mystery with a Japanese high school. Save the students from the ensuing nightmare and tackle the perils that stand in your way. Like The Missing Heir, The Girl Who Stands Behind also includes an 8-bit sountrack.
