Ninja Theory’s Bleeding Edge was a game with a lot of potential, but despite that, it continued to struggle. We enjoyed our time with the game when it launched nearly a year ago, though it seems the game could only go on for so long. Citing focus on upcoming projects like Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Project Mara and The Insight Project, Ninja Theory has made the decision to halt further updates for Bleeding Edge.
The multiplayer game will continue to be playable on Xbox and PC, though some are noticing a lack of players online. Xbox and Windows 10 players at least have Xbox Game Pass to help a bit. Regardless, Ninja Theory couldn’t support updating the game as often as other titles on the market. With the last major update with Azrael being last Summer, the slowing support was becoming increasingly clear. They had to make what is likely a difficult decision, and cease production on further updates for Bleeding Edge. They had a good run, but sometimes it’s best to move on. Regardless, we do look forward to Ninja Theory’s upcoming projects.
