New Details Emerge for Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition
Capcom-Unity has revealed new information about their upcoming Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition for next-gen consoles! For starters, digital pre-orders are now available for both the Xbox Series S|X and the PlayStation 5. Those who purchase the game before November 18th, 2020 will be eligible for 100,000 red orbs for in-game use. These can help get you a head start in the game and get you some great abilities in the beginning. The game is available for $39.99 MSRP at launch.
Next up is the release date for the Vergil DLC on the current gen versions of Devil May Cry 5. While not available at the same time as the Special Edition, Vergil will be available on December 15th, 2020. His price will be $4.99 / €4.99 / £3.99. He’ll be available to play as in the story, the Bloody Palace, and The Void.
Finally, Capcom gave us more details on the performance and ray tracing for the Xbox Series S|X. Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will launch with frame rates up to 120 frames per second, enhanced 3D audio, shorter loading times, a new Legendary Dark Knight difficulty, Turbo mode, and of course, Vergil as a playable character. For the Xbox Series X specifically, the game will be playable in 4K using Direct X Ray Tracing. The Ray Tracing will become available as a free downloadable update for the Xbox Series X at a later date. No updates were given regarding the PlayStation 5 version at this time.
