Guilty Gear -STRIVE- Gets a New Release Date!
During the recent Guilty Gear developer live stream, fans were treated to newcomer Giovanna and a tease of the return of Anji. We also got word that the initial launch roster will have 15 characters. All of that is big news, but one more inkling of information was the reveal of the new release date. After a delay in May, Guilty Gear -STRIVE- now has a release date on April 9th, 2021. Fans that spring for the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions will get three day early access on April 6th, 2021.
The trailer, which can be viewed above, showcases a bit about the legacy of the series. It also reveals a fully animated story mode that will be included in the game. Showcasing gorgeous 3D animated visuals, Guilty Gear -STRIVE- will be a showstopper for sure. Those that preorder the game will get special colors for Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske that swap their color schemes.
Guilty Gear -STRIVE- will have three different editions. The Standard Edition will just include the base game. Moving on to the Deluxe Edition, this version will include the season pass. The season pass will include five additional characters, two new stages, five additional colors for each character, and an extra storyline. Finally, the PlayStation exclusive Ultimate Edition will include the season pass as well as the digital soundtrack, artwork, and exclusive colors for the fighters.
