Check Out Several Steam Game Festival Demos For a Limited Time!

As part of the Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition, many upcoming indie games are now available to demo. From now until October 13th, you can download and try multiple games coming out in the upcoming months. Here’s just a taste of what you can check out right now!

Solasta: Crown of the Magister

Solasta: Crown of the Magister puts players in a campaign where anyone on their team can be a hero. With vertical elements in the world, players will want to use their surroundings to form proper strategy. Position ranged characters on the high ground or even scout ahead with a thief. Use light to explore dark settings or wield it as a weapon to defeat creatures of darkness. Of course, use it at your own risk, as the light can tempt even more powerful foes. Solasta: Crown of the Magister will enter Steam Early Access on October 20th for $34.99. You can wishlist the game here.

Truck Driver

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. If life gives you a truck, you move to a new city and become a truck driver. Clearly. Make a name for yourself and earn the respect of the community as you do your best in Truck Driver. Kaze and the Wild Masks

Journey through the Crystal Islands in Kaze and the Wild Masks, a 90’s inspired platformer. Players will take on the role of Kaze as they journey to save their friend Hogo from a dangerous curse. Using the powers of the Wild Masks, you’ll fight giant living vegetable enemies that stand in your way. Jump, soar, run and swim through several challenging stages. The Protagonist: EX-1

Play as an expert soldier in The Protagonist: EX-1 as you infiltrate an alien space station orbiting the planet. The mysterious alien ship enters the atmosphere of the planet Terra, prompting the planet life to make first contact. Unfortunately, things go wrong as war now ensues between the Terrans and the invading aliens. Find your team and uncover the events that took place to find the truth. Strings Theory

As a spiritual successor to The Lost Vikings, Strings Theory is a puzzle game that tasks you to utilize the unique skills of three different characters. Play as the building blocks of the universe, the 3 Strings, as you learn their unique traits and qualities. Swap between the three characters as you find a way to escape a cosmic anomaly. With a cute pixel art style and upbeat music, Zelter puts players in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Craft and survive your way through a farming lifestyle and maintain your defenses. With the zombie threat ever-looming, build machine gun turrets and get ready to take on the horde. When you’re done, trek out into the world to gather supplies and also save survivors while you can. REKT! High Octane Stunts

REKT! High Octane Stunts delivers driving action that takes inspiration from games like Rush and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. Players can perform all kinds of stunts from backflips to spins in a smooth 60 frames per second. With retro neon graphics, players can play with their friends and enjoy this high octane thrill ride. Even better, you can take part in the “REKT Challenge” competition during the Steam Game Festival demo period. Of Bird and Cage

Beauty and the Beast meets metal in a musical story that just might captivate you. You’ll play as Gitta, a young girl held captive both physically and mentally by a mysterious man. Black Legend

As an RPG set in an alternate history, Black Legend puts players in the cursed city of Grant. A fog that inflicts madness on those within and a deadly cult now plague the city, making life a challenge for the citizens. With a band of mercenaries, you’ll uncover stories from survivors, find new equipment and classes for your party, and explore multiple locations. Ancient Abyss

Ancient Abyss is a Zelda inspired Roguelike game, letting players explore randomly generated mazes. Adding a perma-death experience, players will risk everything to uncover treasures and secrets hidden within. Acquire new skills and items and master multiple weapons in action packed combat.
