As part of the Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition, many upcoming indie games are now available to demo. From now until October 13th, you can download and try multiple games coming out in the upcoming months. Here’s just a taste of what you can check out right now!
Solasta: Crown of the Magister puts players in a campaign where anyone on their team can be a hero. With vertical elements in the world, players will want to use their surroundings to form proper strategy. Position ranged characters on the high ground or even scout ahead with a thief. Use light to explore dark settings or wield it as a weapon to defeat creatures of darkness. Of course, use it at your own risk, as the light can tempt even more powerful foes. Journey through the Crystal Islands in Kaze and the Wild Masks, a 90’s inspired platformer. Players will take on the role of Kaze as they journey to save their friend Hogo from a dangerous curse. As a spiritual successor to The Lost Vikings, Strings Theory is a puzzle game that tasks you to utilize the unique skills of three different characters. Play as the building blocks of the universe, the 3 Strings, as you learn their unique traits and qualities. Swap between the three characters as you find a way to escape a cosmic anomaly. REKT! High Octane Stunts delivers driving action that takes inspiration from games like Rush and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. Players can perform all kinds of stunts from backflips to spins in a smooth 60 frames per second. With retro neon graphics, players can play with their friends and enjoy this high octane thrill ride. Even better, you can take part in the “REKT Challenge” competition during the Steam Game Festival demo period.
