BlazeSky Launches Out of Early Access on September 17th

One-man development studio Double Robot is launching BlazeSky after roughly a month on Steam Early Access. Inspired by games like Rebel Galaxy and Drifter, BlazeSky is an easy to pick-up open-world galactic adventure. The game boasts over 25 hours of story driven gameplay and puts players in beautifully atmospheric star systems. It’s also fully voiced throughout the entire adventure. You can view the trailer below.

Here’s some additional details from the emailed press release:

Whether you’re exploring the blue wastes of Centauri, the asteroid fields of Lookout, or the sun-soaked Mozzed; where you fly, and what missions you undertake, is up to you. Featuring a rich story inspired by both traditional and modern science fiction, and the timeless gameplay of classic sci-fi titles, BlazeSky allows you to pursue ancient mysteries and discover unique alien races as you decide on which path to take through the stars.

There are 30 different star systems to explore and 50 unique ships. Players will be able to customize their ship with various weapons as well. You’ll come across friend and foe alike, with many enemies ranging from murderous raiders, aliens, antagonistic AI, and inter-dimensional beings. BlazeSky launches on Steam for $19.99 on September 17th. You can purchase it here while it’s still in Early Access, or wait till the official launch.
