Tell Me Why Episode One Collectibles Guide
Tell Me Why, the newest narrative adventure game from Dontnod Entertainment, tells a whimsical story of two siblings and their memories. While players will discover Tyler and Alyson Ronan’s memories in the game, they’ll likely also discover collectibles. These collectibles are usually characters found in the Ronan’s Book of Goblins. With several to find in each episode, GotGame has you covered with this Tell Me Why Episode One Collectibles Guide. If for whatever reason you miss them, you can still go back to collect them in Isolation Mode.
There are five collectibles in the first episode of Tell Me Why. While most are found easily during story progress, one is a bit easy to miss.
The Crafty Goblins:
In the first playable chapter, “Long Time No See,” this collectible is related to a story event and cannot be missed. The first of the Crafty Goblins is found by Alyson when she searches for the house keys. Both items are in a small box under her bed. When players take control of Tyler, they will be unable to advance until they collect the Crafty Goblin on his desk.
The Mad Hunter:
When the Ronan twins arrive at their old house in “A Big Wooden House,” they’ll have to find a way inside. After obtaining the screwdriver, you’ll unscrew the wood planks blocking the crawlspace under the home. As you crawl under a wooden beam and move through, Tyler and Alyson will start to communicate with their “voice”. You’ll take a left and walk all the way to a dead end, take another left and there will be an opening to your right. Go through here and on your right should be The Mad Hunter on the ground.
The Wise Princess:
During the same chapter as The Mad Hunter, while inside the Ronan house, you’ll explore the memories the twins share. Eventually, you’ll make your way into Mary-Ann’s bedroom. On the floor to the right of the bed, you can find The Wise Princess collectible.
The Pious Pelican:
In the chapter “Rashomon,” after purchasing your groceries, Tessa will arrive. After speaking with her, she’ll open up her office and you’ll be able to enter. Inside to the left of Tessa’s desk is a cabinet that you can open. Don’t worry, Tessa won’t mind that you’re accessing her personal belongings. Inside the cabinet is going to be the Pious Pelican sitting on top of a cardboard box next to a green book.
The Ice King:
For the final chapter, “To Serve and Protect,” you’ll eventually gain access to the break room with Officer Brown’s key. After getting coffee, you’ll suddenly gain access to the interrogation room. Inside, move all the way to the back of the room where there’s a height chart. Behind a blue cabinet and on the floor, The Ice King will be ready to collect.
And there you have it, that’s all the collectibles in episode one of Tell Me Why. Stayed tuned for next week where we’ll have a guide for episode two.
