At the recent Gamescom Opening Night Live event, Bandai Namco revealed a new trailer for its upcoming action-RPG title, Scarlet Nexus. The game was initially announced at the Inside Xbox presentation earlier this year, and Bandai Namco describes the story as such:
“In the far distant future, a psionic hormone has been discovered in the human brain, granting people extra-sensory powers, and changing the world as we know it. As humanity enters this new era, deranged mutants known as Others begin to descend from the sky with a hunger for human brains. Impervious to conventional weapons, those with acute extra-sensory abilities, known as psychics, are our only chance to fight the onslaught from above and preserve humanity. Since that fateful day, psychics have been scouted for their talents and recruited to the Other Suppression Force, humanity’s last line of defense.”
However, the latest trailer shows off more of the protagonist OSF recruit Yuito Sumeragi alongside other OSF members Hanabi, Nagi, Fubuki, and Kasane as well as some flashy and fast paced gameplay exhibiting Sumeragi’s various powers.
The gameplay looks incredible, and I for one, can’t wait to see more of the game. Sadly, Scarlet Nexus is yet to receive a release window, but it will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X upon launch.
