Rocksteady Studios’ Suicide Squad Finally Revealed on DC FanDome

After a long wait, Rocksteady Studios’ new Suicide Squad game has finally been revealed. In a new trailer during DC FanDome, we get a fun cinematic taking place in Metropolis. We see four members of the Suicide Squad so far, including Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang. As they argue about their target and their current mission, they discover their target is the Justice League members. It’s also confirmed that this game is a continuation of the Batman: Arkham series. This of course, includes Superman, who makes an appearance at the end of the trailer, which can be seen below.

It’s currently unknown what sent Superman on the dark road he takes in the trailer, but surely players will find out soon. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will allow players to play either single player or with four player multiplayer online. When playing single player, you’ll be able to switch between characters on the fly and the other characters will be controlled by AI. Whether or not there are other members of the Suicide Squad is currently unknown, but we’ll likely see a few more villains make an appearance.

The game takes place in Metropolis after what appears to be a Brainiac invasion. Enemies seem to be zombie-like Brainiac drones, likely filling the role of cannon fodder until you go up against the big guns of the Justice League. Being that the game takes place in the same canon as Batman: Arkham Knight, it’s unknown if Batman will make an appearance. Considering the ending of that game, it might be a tough one to pull off, but we’ll see how things go.

The game will skip the current console generation entirely and make the jump to next gen. Rocksteady Studios’ Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is expected to hit PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X in 2022. Are you looking forward to the new game? Let us know in the comments below!
