Marvel’s Iron Man VR Gets a Free Update with a NG+ Mode
Developer Camouflaj released a new update for its recently released game Marvel’s Iron Man VR. The update adds some new game modes, weapons, and fixes to the game, such as improving its load times.
Upon completing the game, players will now have access to the newly added New Game + mode to experience the game again but with a little more variety. Aside from that, a new “Ultimate” difficulty mode was also added for those who conquered the game’s existing “Invincible” mode, and are looking for an extra challenge.
Camouflaj also added a new weapon called a continuous beam repulsor, letting players sustain a beam attack for much longer. Also added was an EM Charge Cannon that pierces through the shields of enemy drones. Then there’s the Micro Swarm, a new “intelligent anti-swarm weapon,” for disabling large groups of enemies. Finally, the Gravity Bomb, which players can use to trap multiple enemies in place.
Aside from gameplay additions, Camouflaj also added some technical improvements. This includes reducing load times by 20 to 30 seconds in some areas of the game. Additionally, players can now also skip already played cinematic missions.
Gameplay designer Blaine Higdon had this to say in a blog post regarding the update:
“One thing that we understood innately — but didn’t fully appreciate until our game was in the wild — was just how passionate Marvel fans are about what we were building. The development team at Camouflaj gobbled up your reviews, tweets, and videos; listening intently to what you had to say, and what you wanted more of”
Marvel’s Iron Man VR is out now on PSVR.
