Now that the Marvel’s Avengers beta has been available for PlayStation 4 players with preorders, what do you think? Our own impressions have been pretty positive, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t room for improvement. The first beta period is over, but there are two more weekends to play. Next weekend will allow Xbox One and PC preorder players to join in the fray (as well as open beta for PS4). Finally, August 21st will be the open beta for anyone to join in.
When Marvel’s Avengers was first shown at E3 2019, the game was a little rough. Things definitely improved when we saw it again at New York Comic-Con 2019. Now, as we get closer to launch, the Marvel’s Avengers beta gives us the best demonstration of the game to date. It’s definitely a game that we feel you have to experience for yourself. Watching the gameplay probably won’t give you an accurate representation of how it plays, as it definitely needs more of a hands-on experience. The feel of the rumble of the controllers, the combos, even the synergy of working with your teammates. It all creates a solid experience.
Honestly, I’ve had a lot of fun with the beta, maxing out both Kamala Khan and the Hulk. I’m debating on if I should max out Black Widow and Iron Man during the beta. I’ve already earned my nameplates and Fortnite content, so at this point, I’m just repeating missions. I’m in that phase where I want to play more but don’t want to soil my experience for the full game. Now I simply join in to play with friends or my girlfriend just to enjoy playing with them.
What about you? Did you guys have fun with the beta so far? What about our Xbox One and PC playing readers? Are you guys looking forward to checking it out next weekend? We want to hear from you, so let us know in the comments below! Marvel’s Avengers launches on September 4th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia, so not too much longer now.
