Several 2K Classics are Now Available on Nintendo Switch

It’s a good day to be a Nintendo Switch owner. Not only does today mark the release of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, but it also marks the launch of several 2K published classics on Nintendo Switch. A trifecta of high quality experiences are now available with BioShock: The Collection, Borderlands: Legendary Collection, and XCOM 2 Collection.

BioShock: The Collection collects three experiences that take players from the undersea city of Rapture to the civilization above the clouds in Columbia. First is the original BioShock, where players got a taste of Rapture, splicers, and Big Daddy for the first time. BioShock 2 puts players in control of the Big Daddy, Delta, allowing them to unleash plasmid hell on their foes. Finally, BioShock Infinite puts players in the role of Booker Dewitt as he travels to Columbia to save a woman named Elizabeth. This will also include the Burial at Sea DLC story which beings us back to the city of Rapture. All three of these titles make for some of the most iconic 2K classics.

Borderlands: Legendary Collection puts together three games in this looter-shooter series. The first Borderlands introduces players to the world of Pandora, where they as Vault Hunters seek a coveted treasure. Borderlands 2 continues the story with a new set of Vault Hunters, now attempting to take control from the mastermind, Handsome Jack. Finally, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel gives players the origin story to Handsome Jack’s rise to power. All three titles offer tons of guns, tons of loot, and plenty of multiplayer fun. They’ll also include most of the DLC, though Borderlands 2 will not include Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary.

Finally, the XCOM 2 Collection puts the strategy action RPG on the Switch for the first time. Play as the Commander of XCOM and take control of several resistance soldiers to take down an alien threat. XCOM 2 Collection includes all the DLC, including the Resistance Warrior Pack, Anarchy’s Children, Alien Hunters, and Shen’s Last Gift. It also includes the War of the Chosen expansion. This Firaxis Games title rounds out the set of 2K classics nicely.

Each can be purchased in a package for $49.99 MSRP, though Borderlands and BioShock allow some options. Players can purchase Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition digitally for $29.99 while the Borderlands: Handsome Collection is available digitally for $39.99. Each BioShock title can also be purchased individually for $19.99 each. With each title now available for Nintendo Switch, players will be able to take some of the best experiences on the go.
