Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Gets a Free Challenge Mode and More Updates

May the 4th be with you. To celebrate the iconic Star Wars “holiday”, EA and Respawn Entertainment have released a new free update for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. We really enjoyed the game when we reviewed it last December, and it’s great to see Respawn adding more content for the fans. So what can you expect with all the additional content? Check it out below.

First of all, for those that have already completed the game, there’s a New Journey + mode. This allows players to play through the entire campaign again with all their cosmetics from their first playthrough. This might also be a good time to attempt playing at a harder difficulty if you haven’t already.

Alongside the New Journey + is an all new Meditation Training challenge mode. This special mode allows players to hone their combat techniques against waves of enemies. We played a similar mode during a special demo at E3 last year, and we’re happy to see it make it into the game. While the demo was similar, it seems that this update brings a lot of enhancements to the mode. Not only can you choose from several different locations, but you can also customize the challenge itself. Players can choose enemy placement, and even add allies to help them in battle. Playing these challenges can unlock new cosmetics, including the brand new Inquisitor Cal, sporting a red Lightsaber. Feel free to check it all out in the trailer below.

The update for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Do you like the new additions? Would you like to see more additional content in the game? Or perhaps you would prefer they hold everything for a potential sequel? Let us know in the comments below!

They’ve been doing it with Star Wars Battlefront II as well, though I definitely appreciate the new image they’re trying to show to their fans.
