Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus games for May 2020
During this time of quarantine, we definitely need some great entertainment to pass the time. Relying on both Microsoft and Sony to provide such leisure is expected each month with the selection of Games with Gold and free PlayStation plus games. This time around, however, fans might be a little bit disappointed. Let’s see what’s in store.
First on Xbox 360 we have Sensible World of Soccer (May 1st – 15th). This is an old school Soccer game originally released on the Amiga and MS-DOS, with a nice new HD coat of paint. The other release is Overlord II (May 16th – May 31st). The best way to describe the series is to compare it to a game with a completely different tone. It’s basically Pikmin, but you are an evil ruler who must use his minions to wrought chaos.
For the Xbox One, we have racing and action in two very distinct titles. V-Rally 4 (May 1st – May 31st) has players choose between 50 different vehicles that can be fully customized for all you car junkies. Warhammer 40k: Inquisitor (May 16th – June 15th) is a Diablo style dungeon crawler set in the Warhammer universe. Play either solo or with friends to take on enemies in a variety of planets.
For the PlayStation Plus games, the offerings might be a little too niche for most. Cities Skylines is a city building simulator akin to SimCity, with a few modern twists. The other release is Farming Simulator 19. Take care of your land with your tractor and cultivate crops. From a personal point, as much as I am fine with different titles, it’s a shame those are the only two options for PlayStation owners this time around.
