Many have been watching PlatinumGames for the past couple months now. Their Platinum4 project has been teasing multiple different announcements starting with The Wonderful 101 Remastered. The second tease was a new hero project game, Project G.G. A third announcement came in the form of a new studio opening up in Tokyo. With their fourth announcement set for April 1st, fans were already suspicious. Sure enough, their fourth announcement was an April Fools joke, announcing an arcade game called Sol Cresta. Many were disappointed, some even saying they no longer support the company. It seems though that PlatinumGames has a hidden bonus announcement up their sleeves.

It’s unknown if this bonus announcement is in response to the backlash the company received for the prank. Either way, it seems this announcement is a more serious one. Fans are hoping for a Bayonetta 3 announcement, though that still falls more in Nintendo’s court.
