CyberConnect2 Revealed as Developer for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Game!

Almost as if right on cue, a Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba game is in coming. Titled Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppuutan, the game is in development from Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot developer, CyberConnect2. Aniplex is publishing the project, which will likely help to make the game as authentic to the anime as possible.

While details are scarce, the game is described as a fighting action game, which may mean it’s an arena fighter. Some have suspected that there may be an action RPG element to the game as well. The developers recently streamed content from the game, showcasing some of the beautiful animation. It seems to look pretty true to the animation of the series, and is certainly what we expect from CyberConnect2’s team. The game is currently set to release in 2021 exclusively for the PlayStation 4. We’ll likely find out more information in the coming months, as well as if there will be a localization effort. Considering the popularity of the series, we can surely expect the game to come to the West. What do you think? Are you excited about a Kimetsu no Yaiba game? Let us know in the comments below!
