Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus games for December of 2019
As 2019 comes to an end, so does the final selection of free games for Xbox One and PS4 respectively. Did they end the year on a good note? Let’s see what’s in store for PlayStation Plus and Games with Gold.
On the Xbox One front, we have Insane Robots (December 1st to 31st). It is a one on one tactical game that features robots engaging in card battles. The other Xbox One release is Jurassic World Evolution (December 16th to January 15th). The titular park needs assistance in this simulation title, and it even features some voice talent from the franchise like Jeff Goldblum.
The first Xbox 360 game offered is Toy Story 3: The Video Game (December 1st to December 15th). In this family friendly romp, players can play through the motions of the story, or explore the open Toybox mode, which was also the foundation for Disney Infinity (made by the same developers). Afterwards we have Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate HD (December 16th to December 31st). As the title suggest, it is an HD remaster of the 3DS title release a few years prior. While it doesn’t feature many of the classic tropes of previous titles, it still has some monster slaying action to be had.
For the PlayStation 4 we have Monster Energy Supercross. A bike racing game for those who crave leaving their opponents in the dirt. Not to mention it has a pretty detailed course editor with thousands of different components to play around with. Perhaps the bigger title is Titanfall 2. After a lukewarm first installment, the sequel manages to fix a lot that was wrong. Whether you control a giant mech or hovering around with a jetpack on foot, the controls are sublime. It may have one of the best single-player campaign in any shooter and comes highly recommended.
