New York Comic-Con was a blast. Not only did we check out games like
Project Resistance and , but we also had a chance to check out some great cosplay. We have to say that New York doesn’t hold back with the impressive cosplayers. Not only were there some really elaborate designs, but we also saw an enormous amount of cosplayers. As for the rules of our cosplay gallery, we only include video game cosplays. We do make exceptions for characters that are video game incarnations, like the characters from My Hero One’s Justice 2 on PlayStation 4. We also include characters that debut in video games, even if ultimately part of a different medium. Marvel’s Spider-Man
There was a lot of variety at New York Comic-Con 2019. Despite this, we did see a spike of Jokers. Not the Joker from the recently released DC film, but Joker from
Persona 5. We also saw a lot of Final Fantasy VII cosplay, no doubt getting ready for . On top of this, we saw a ton of other great cosplay that we were unable to get pictures of. This includes an Final Fantasy VII Remake Assassin’s Creed troupe, tons of Persona cosplay, and more. All cosplayers shown have given their consent for this gallery and we made sure to credit those who provided information. We took nearly 250 pictures, so we’re still captioning them. Last but not least, this is a judge-free gallery, so please be respectful to all our cosplayers.

A big Overwatch group, including another cameo from @1977kmr. Two Black Cat D.Va’s, a Witch Mercy, and a Honeydew Mei all reporting for duty. According to Witch Mercy, heroes never die. Lucky for @1997kmr right? Cindy (@ggsefine) from Final Fantasy XV and Tifa (@gris_gets_gud) from Final Fantasy VII Remake look wonderful at NYCC 2019. Give them a follow on Instagram! The leader of the Blue Lions, @dalakurai portrays Dimitri from Fire Emblem: Three Houses excellently. We never thought we would see an Echo cosplay, at least not until she became a playable character in Overwatch. Either way, @jaydencassidy does an excellent job with her portrayal. Generations of Final Fantasy are represented by @chriscross55 (Edea from Final Fantasy VIII), @moonlit_stalchild (Shiva from Final Fantasy X) and @iwasateenagemonster (Tifa from Final Fantasy VII Advent Children). The pride of a Kanzuki is intimidating enough, but @marjoanofarc_ does a fantastic job as Karin from Street Fighter. Give her a follow on Instagram! Marvel vs Capcom 4 is looking pretty interesting. Night Monkey and Mysterio are fighting off Morrigan (@1997kmr) and Ryu (@its_your_boi_peachy) for the fate of two worlds. @hikaru2322 did an amazing job on her Maya cosplay, representing her look from Borderlands 3. Check her out on Instagram! Another excellent Overwatch group. McCree (@njfagan), Brigitte (@micromerc), Soldier: 76 (@grimmieleon), B.O.B. and Ashe look ready to unleash their Ultimates. This Mega Man generational gap spans from 20XX to 21XX, with @kofitnessnycosplay (Sigma), @darkslayer99ix (Vile), and @megaballcosplay (X), as well as an adorable Mega Man and Protoman, all built by @darkslayer99ix. Give them a follow on Instagram. Mirage from Apex Legends was caught sneaking around NYCC. Can’t fool us @rumblepakk. Give him a follow on Instagram. @1997kmr returns as Morrigan Aensland from Darkstalkers, portraying the succubus with a certain allure. Follow her on Instagram! @purple_pariah changes things up with the succubus Morrigan from Darkstalkers, portraying her more like the princess of the Makai that she is. Give her a follow on Instagram. @1997kmr seems to have found her Lilith, though unfortunately we don’t have Lilith’s tag. Darkstalkers needs to come back. @queenvalky sports the Palanquin D.Va skin from Overwatch in style. Give her a follow on Instagram! Say what you want about Poison, but @miss_j_xo_ does a good job portraying this Final Fight baddie and occasional Street Fighter. Follow her on Instagram! This pair of cosplayers did a fantastic genderbend of Pyramid Head and the Nurses from Silent Hill. Pyramid Head is @vvvcosplay and the Nurse is @nem0_syne, follow them on Instagram. One of our favorite shots of @vvvcosplay as Pyramid Head from Silent Hill. Did we mention that @vvvcosplay was on stilts? She towered over not only @nem0_syne, but also the rest of the convention goers. Richter Belmont from Castlevania has gained a resurgence thanks to his inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. @megaxeno99 does an excellent portrayal, so give him a follow on Instagram! @awesomejaymee makes for an excellent Sakura Kasugano in her Street Fighter Alpha appearance. Give her a follow on Instagram! A big Final Fantasy VII group, with key players from all around. Sephiroth (@jsanctum), Cid (@mrjoeluciano), Zack (@shukiez), Cloud (@scabinks), Vincent (@darkrose375), and Barret (@justins_sketches) all look amazing, so give them a follow! The duo at @thelasergirls show off their sisterly bonds as Serah Farron and Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2. Lightning is even sporting her Cloud outfit from Lightning Returns. Epic Seven was promoting their game with several amazing cosplayers, including @danielledenicola as Silver Blade Aramintha, @lorentz_iwood as Kayron, and @rolyatistaylor as Judge Kise.
