Those who picked up the Astro C40 TR controller have been left waiting for the opportunity to buy replacement parts. One of the biggest selling points of the controller is the ability to customize it and also replace parts that have worn out. When we reviewed the controller last month, we commended it for being adaptable and well built. For roughly $200, you really do get a nice product. Now, Astro C40 TR owners can purchase the parts to keep their controller going.
Parts range from about $5 to $20, plus shipping. This includes parts like replacement screwdrivers, cases, analog stick modules and caps. This also makes it possible to purchase the D-Pad disc for the first time. The controller only came with a traditional D-Pad, but some fans were disappointed that it didn’t come with the disc option. There aren’t any custom options like the Astro A40 and A50 tags, but we expect those to come soon. If you’re looking to get a replacement part or even the D-Pad disc, they’re now available on Astro Gaming’s online store. Are you looking to pick some up?

I just bought this controller and yea it’s a great prduct I even downloaded its software updates but it’s replaceable parts you can’t find they are always out of stock which means their always breaching down and the software won’t work right I have been trying to reprogram thD-pad since I bought it on the main profile but nothing changes left goes up right goes down down goes down and left goes even with their programmable software it won’t thank god the second profile functions properly or it would be a piece of junk that’s made very good but won’t function. I wish I could get instock replacement parts and find someone to talk to that knows how to program a software program that works and this would be a great product . I just bought a Ferrari controller without any motor basically. Very disappointed one day I have had this and it’s just crap. Can’t find replacement parts on a new controller and the programming software doesn’t work. Can Astro respond or fix this or don’t they even care about the product they claim is so good.
If it was only within one day, why not exchange it for one that might not have the issue? It’s always possible that you have a controller with an issue.

Can I get a new usb wireless dongle for the controller?
I can’t say for sure, but the controller may have been discontinued. They sometimes have it on the shop page, but I haven’t seen it for a while. It may also be due to the demand of PS4 controllers lately.

@Manuel, @Jacen Gaston, you can request a new usb wireless transmitter by filing out a service request via the support page. They should issue a “one time replacement” for it (as in, only that one time) since they don’t sell the usb dongle/transmitter by itself at the store. They did so in my case, and I was out of warranty at that point.
