The Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Release Date is Confirmed!

The long anticipated Kickstarter project, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, finally has a release date. Having originally been crowdfunded in 2015 and going through a couple delays, it’s been a long wait. Lucky for patient fans, that wait is almost over. Bloodstained will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC next month on June 18th. The Nintendo Switch version will release one week later on June 25th. To celebrate this announcement, publisher 505 Games have released a new trailer.

The trailer takes a moment to poke fun at the early beginnings of the game, when fans criticized the art direction. Highlighting the improvements, it seems like a big step up for the game. We spoke with Koji Igarashi, the producer of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, a while back and he mentioned being proud of the improving visuals. Acting as a spiritual successor to the Castlevania series, the game evokes memories to Symphony of the Night. Having briefly played it at E3 2018, we’re excited to see the game release next month.
