[UPDATED] Amazon Pre-Orders Hit With Delays for Devil May Cry 5
(UPDATE: It appears Amazon has updated their product page for the Devil May Cry 5 Collector’s Edition today. Shipping is now showing delivery dates as early as Friday for Amazon Prime members. Our own Associate Editor, David Poole, also confirmed his own will be arriving on Wednesday. The original story is below).
Devil May Cry 5 released yesterday to raving reviews and high consumer engagement fueled by massive hype for the return of Capcom’s classic franchise. Fans are clearly excited to get back to the mainline story of the franchise. Unfortunately, a return to grace is not without its problems. Video game Reddit and Twitter aren’t happy to learn that Amazon will be delivering their Collector’s Edition of Devil May Cry 5 late (in some cases up to 3 months from now). Some customers received their pre-orders on time with others waiting a little later in the upcoming week.
People are understandably not happy, some even having to go and purchase a second copy of the game while waiting for their Collector’s Edition. Considering that this edition was exclusive to Amazon and the Capcom store, some people are regretting their business decision with Amazon. We’ll keep you posted as pre-order information is updated.
Devil May Cry 5 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
