Skydance Interactive’s Archangel: Hellfire is now available for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Successor to the previous story focused game, Archangel, Hellfire adds several new multiplayer features. Multiplayer includes a PvP mode with team deathmatch as well as a cooperative horde mode. Best of all, the PvP multiplayer component will launch for free with the “Enlist Free” version. Players can enjoy first-person mech combat in VR just by downloading from Steam, Green Man Gaming, the Humble store or the Oculus store.
The full game will launch with both a full single player campaign as well as the previously mentioned multiplayer modes. Archangel: Hellfire will task players with joining the resistance of the USFF to fight against HUMNX. In a battle for the fate of the world, players will continue the fight in a multiplayer experience that takes place ten years after the main campaign.
To help celebrate the launch, Skydance Interactive and Opera Event are hosting a tournament known as the Mech Ascent Championship. Teams can compete in PvP for a chance to win cash prizes, a bomber jacket, and a golden mech. Cash prizes will range from $500 to $2,000, and players can compete on the leaderboard for a chance to be entered in the competition. Click here to find out more information on how to compete!
