In a shocking announcement made moments ago, Bandai Namco has delayed their action game Code Vein. Previously set to release on September 28th, 2018, Bandai Namco has decided to push the game into 2019. The decision was made to “ensure the final product delivers on the expectations set amongst media and fans”.
Bandai Namco’s Vice President of Marketing, Eric Hartness, had this to say about the delay. “Code Vein has received an enormous amount of positive feedback from eager fans who have received hands-on time with the in-development versions of the game over the past nine months. Armed with knowledge of how well the game has already been received, we made the decision to postpone the release of Code Vein to further refine its gameplay in an effort to exceed the expectations fans already have of the title. It was a difficult decision to make, but we feel it is the correct one”.
Code Vein was recently playable at Anime Expo this past weekend, as well as E3 last month. We previously viewed gameplay of Code Vein at the Bandai Namco New Year Showcase earlier this year. Hopefully fans won’t have to wait too long for the game in 2019. Expect Code Vein to release in 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
