KOEI TECMO America was recently pleased to unleash the digital version of Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers, which is a brand-new tactics style title set in the legendary Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history. It is available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
This new title adds two new characters to the ever-growing roster of the series. Up first is Lixia, a girl with magical powers who was sealed away in an icy shrine for centuries. The second character is Zhao Yun’s childhood friend, Lei Bin, who also happens to be an avid lore master.
Those who decide to adopt the game within the first month of sale will also gain a selection of costumes, allowing players to personalize the gameplay experience even further. These include Lixia’s Diaochan costume, as well as Guan Yinping’s and Lu Lingqi’s special costumes sporting fox ears and tails.
Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers takes cues from the fan-favorite Dynasty Tactics series, utilizing a tactical gameplay system in which players strategically move their units across a grid-based battlefield in order to defeat the opposing forces. It unfolds during the chaotic end days of the Han Dynasty, in which ancient China is overwhelmed by uprisings and internal strife within the imperial court. The renowned warrior Zhao Yun and his close friend Lei Bin unwittingly liberate a young girl known as Lixia from a mystical prison. As they attempt to unravel the mystery behind her imprisonment, the two uncover a hidden, terrible fate, and find themselves, along with Lixia, entangled in a pivotal struggle for the salvation of the world itself.
