KOEI TECMO America shares details on Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers
KOEI TECMO America has revealed details surrounding the features and early purchase bonuses of their upcoming tactics style title, Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers, which is due for digital release via PlayStation Store for both Vita and PlayStation 4 on January 31, 2017.
The title utilizes a tactical gameplay system in which you will need to strategically move your units across a battlefield in order to defeat the opposing forces. Actions will take place on a grid, with your units being able to move a select set of spaces before they carry out offensive or defensive maneuvers. If you manage to attack from the sides or rear of your enemy, you can dish out significant damage, thus allowing your foes to be eliminated more efficiently. In addition, defeating your enemies successfully will enable Synchro Mode, allowing you to unleash powerful assaults to decimate your opposition.
A useful companion known as Lixia has strong powers that have once been sealed away into orbs. Lixia’s Orbs are unique objects that can lend an upper hand against tougher opponents, and, whether you choose to envelop the battlefield in flames or flood enemy strongholds, the elemental changes they provide can break through defenses and reduce infantry numbers. As you play throughout the story, you will unlock and obtain a variety of different Orbs, each offering its own unique abilities.
You will also be able to further immerse yourself in the Three Kingdoms period via conversations with other officers outside of combat. Path of Destiny episodes will be unlocked during encounters on the front lines, providing access to unique battles, new companions, monetary bonuses, and useful items.
In addition, a selection of costumes will be available to those who purchase the title within the first month of sale, allowing players to further personalize their gameplay experience. Lixia will be able to swap out her standard costume for the “Diochan” costume, for example, while Guan Yinping and Lu Lingqi will receive special costumes featuring fox ears and tails.
