Armikrog now available
Pencil Test Sudios and Versus Evil were excited to launch Armikrog on the Wii U via eShop, Xbox One via ID@Xbox, and PlayStation 4 via PlayStation Store recently
founder of Pencil Test Studios, Mike Dietz, stated, “When we initially funded our game through Kickstarter there was demand for a Wii U version and it totally made sense from a design standpoint. Armikrog was created using classic sculpting, set building and clay and puppet fabrication techniques and it truly was a labor of love. After the release on PC we were able to turn our attention to the console versions of the game and we are incredibly happy to announce that console gamers can now play our creation on the console platform of their choice!”
For those unaware, Armikrog follows the adventures of the space explorer Tommynaut and his pal Beak-Beak, who is a blind talking dog, as they crash land on an alien planet and are trapped in a mysterious fortress known as Armikrog. You will need to guide the pair through a variety of situations in hand crafted environments that are packed with puzzles and odd inhabitants.
Some of the voice talent includes John Heder from Napoleon Dynamite, Rob Paulsen from Pinky and the Brain, and Michael J. Nelson from Mystery Science Theater 3000.
“Armikrog is a great stop-motion experience that can now be enjoyed on the consoles,” said Versus Evil General Manager Steve Escalante. “A handcrafted, one-of-a-kind video game, Armikrog appeals to gamers of all ages and it has been amazing seeing this game come to life. Its transition to the major consoles is a treat and we are very excited to launch a game on all three consoles!”
