KOEI TECMO shares new information for Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII
KOEI TECMO America was happy to share new information focusing on the alternative strategic elements that players will be able to look forward to in the upcoming title, Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII. They have shared two new game videos, detailing the Civic Development and Bond systems, as well as a new promotional trailer highlighting the many strategy options that players will have at their disposal, which you can check out below:
Battles are won by both force and careful preparation and strategy, and, to this end, Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII will offer various preparatory and diplomatic gameplay elements that will take place before combat, known as the Civic Development system. Players will be able to improve different aspects of their domain, developing Commerce, Farming, and Culture, which each gives various boosts to the army in strength and loyalty. Economic and development decisions will then be presented to the Officers, prompting them to share their views and point out the merits and faults of any given strategy before a final decision is made.
Another key element to the overarching strategy is attaining allies and influencing individuals via the Bond system. A Relationship Chart will rate the cadence of your relations with historic figures, indicating whether said relationship is positive or negative. You will need to maintain a strong network in order to receive aid in tight situations, especially when summoned by the higher lords. During these moments, the connections are able to fight for your cause and can help turn the tide in battle. In addition, your relationship with any given lord will lend credibility during Debates as you attempt to convince them to act in certain ways. Winning a Debate can lead to forming alliances with other leaders, with the length of said alliances depending on the strength of a given Bond.
Are you looking forward to Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII when it arrives on PC and PlayStation 4?
