Grand Kingdom delayed until June 28 in North America

grand kingdomNippon Ichi Software recently had some disappointing news for those eagerly awaiting Grand Kingdom. First, they announced that the physical edition for North America has been delayed for a week, so that it will arrive on June 28 instead of the originally planned June 21, 2016. European gamers will not be affected by the delay, however, and will still be able to pick up the title on June 17, 2016.

The PlayStation 4 LiteDEMO has also received a delay, and now will be unavailable until launch date in both NA and EU regions. The PlayStation Vita LiteDEMO is currently available for those interested to enjoy, however.

The cause of this delay is due to a mix-up in the packing facility, requiring disassembling and reassembling the product. This way, NIS America will be able to ensure that customers receive the correct product.

The reason behind the PlayStation 4 LiteDEMO is an unforeseen technical issue with the preorder. “Unfortunately,” they stated on the official press release, “this issue was not something we could test for before the game was up for preorder in tandem with the demo. As mentioned earlier, the PS Vita LiteDEMO is currently available on both the NA and EU PlayStation Stores.”

The final bit of bad news is that a manufacturing error occurred with the Europe Limited Edition of Grand Kingdom at the packing facility, so that the Limited Editions were incorrectly packed with the 5-track sampler CD, “First Call”, instead of the 15-track original soundtrack, “Call to Arms”. Those who receive the 5-track soundtrack sampler in their Limited Edition can visit the official site and fill out a form for disc replacement.

In order to make up for the disappointing news, they have decided to extend the one-time free download period for the launch day Lord’s Set DLC until July 28, 2016 in North America.

Are you disappointed by the delay?
