New Synthesis and character info for Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book revealed
KOEI TECMO America and GUST were excited to share some more information highlighting the Synthesis system as well as the colorful cast of characters players can expect in the upcoming role-playing game, Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book when it arrives on June 7, 2016.
In the upcoming RPG, alchemy will be key to creating useful items to aid Sophie and her friends on their travels. As you journey, you will be encouraged to discover and concoct new and useful recipes, which will be added to Plachta, the Mysterious Book, who will slowly regain memories until her pages are full.
Players will have access to a 4×4 panel system which can grow, depending on the quality and type of cauldron you are utilizing. Items placed within will take up set amounts of tiles, which can, if utilized correctly, allow items to be more efficient than normal. You will be able to utilize a wide choice of recipes with different shape, size, and quality to craft items. To achieve the optimal bonuses, you will need to make full use of the panel space. Check the Synthesis system out below:
In terms of cast, you will take on the role of Sophi Neuenmuller, who runs an atelier in the town known as Kirchen Bell. She will be joined by her best friends, Monika Ellmenreich and Oskar Behlmer, as they quest to learn new alchemy recipes and restore Plachta’s missing memories.
As they journey, they will meet a young knight from the country of Adalett, Julio Sebald Leidenschaft, who is also investigating alchemy for unknown reasons, as well as Fritz Weissberg, an ex-mercenary turned puppeteer who is quite skilled with a sword.
There will also be a diverse cast of townspeople to help Sophie and her friends along, including Logy, who now runs a prosperous blacksmithing shop. In addition, a girl who can duplicate items, Corneria, runs a mass production shop, while Harol Simens is a sarcastic and harsh clock shop owner who is truly a caring and helpful man. There is also the travelling clothier, Leon, as well as Horst Basler, who runs the local café and serves as eyes and ears, as he is well-versed on the latest information in town. These are just a few of the characters Sophie will meet.
Those interested can pre-order a limited edition of the game through NIS America’s Online Store and gain a 48-page hardcover art book, 2-disc soundtrack, cloth poster, and five miniature art prints, all in a collector’s box.
