Coinciding with the upcoming release of Captain America: Civil War, TInyCo and Marvel have announced that MARVEL Avengers Academy will be featuring a limited time in-game “Civil War” event of its own.

After the Guardians of the Galaxy update last month, the Avengers Academy is in a vulnerable state, with the threat of incoming enemies heightening the need for campus safety. Captain America and Iron Man both take on leadership roles with two opposing opinions on how to best defend the Avengers Academy.

Captain America wishes to set up a training facility in order to better train the students.

Iron Man, however, believes it would be better to build an army of robots to protect the Avengers Academy.

With these two  differing opinions, students will need to choose sides. As teams are recruited, lines are divided between former friends, and each week players will be able to unlock a new piece of the Civil War story, as well as different quests and prizes, depending on which hero you choose to support.

Friends-turned-foes will battle in combat and school-wide activities aimed to test students at their very best skills, such as arm-wresting.

Some new students will be enrolling in the new update, including Captain America’s long-lost friend, the dangerous Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes, as well as the long-awaited introduction of Black Panther.

Will you be participating in the event?
