Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon announced for Holiday 2016
For two decades now, Pokémon has been delighting millions of fans, becoming one of the most successful entertainment brands in the world. Today, during the special Pokémon Direct presentation, Tsunekazu Ishihara, CEO and president of The Pokémon Company, announced that the newest additions to the legendary series, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, will be arriving on the Nintendo 3DS during Holiday 2016.
J.C. Smith, senior director of Consumer Marketing at The Pokémon Company International, stated, “The Pokémon core series games are the center of the Pokémon universe and provide some of the most memorable Pokémon moments for our fans. I can’t wait to see what fans think of the new adventures they’ll find in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.”
Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will both feature Pokémon Bank functionality, making it possible for fans to move their Pokémon wirelessly from Pokémon Red Version, Pokémon Blue Version and Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition, which are set to arrive on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console on February 27, to Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. Those wishing to transfer their Pokémon Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X, and Pokémon Y will be able to do so via this application as well.
