Good Robot blends bullet hell with roguelike mechanics in April
Pyrodactyl was thrilled to announce that its latest project, known as Good Robot, will blend bullet hell shoot ’em up with roguelike mechanics, challenging players to annihilate thousands of lesser robots across procedurally generated labyrinths. Check out the official trailer below:
The game takes place in 2031, when robots are performing all of the boring and repetitive tasks. This leaves humans the more exciting jobs, including fighting the malfunctioning kill-crazed robots. The Good Robot was thus developed to reverse the stereotype that robots are nothing more than violent disasters by seeking out and destroying every single wayward robot in the colony. Here are some screens showing off The Good Robot in action:
Arvind Raja Yadav, Programmer and Game Designer at Pyrodactyl, stated, “Sense of humor is definitely the key to survive in Good Robot. We also went ahead and threw in a bunch of bouncing plasma discs, laser shotguns and flak cannons for good measure. Otherwise it might be a little tough fighting all the other robots armed with homing missiles and ion blasters”.
Good Robot is set to release on Steam this April for PC, Mac, and Linux. Will you be able to survive the hordes of malfunctioning robots?
