Imperative Entertainment and Posphor Games share new details about Gemini: Heroes Reborn

Imperative Entertainment and Phosphor Games were excited to share new details surrounding their upcoming first-person action-adventure game, Gemini: Heroes Reborn. You will be able to utilize a variety of powers as you take on the role of Cassandra, an ordinary college student who embarks on a journey of discovery to unlock her powers. Some of these powers include telekinesis and time travel, and she will need to fight through an enemy-filled underground facility known as The Quarry if she hopes to save an abducted friend and solve a family mystery.

Some of Cassandra’s foes are immune to her new-found powers, placing a premium on creative thinking and flawless execution. She will be able to utilize the advanced “ragdoll physics”, using previously dispatched enemies to help her through a level, as well as the following powers:

  • Time Shift:  jump between time periods to keep enemies confused, gain advantages and solve puzzles.
  • Time Scout: peer through a window in time to quickly assess situations without making a Time Jump.
  • TK Projectile: fire a power blast of energy that impacts everything in its path.

Tim Kring, creator of the HEROES universe and co-founder of Imperative Entertainment, spoke about the game, saying, “Gemini: Heroes Reborn is actually an original story that shows a darker part of the Heroes Reborn universe unseen on the television series. We designed it to be a true gamer’s game that requires players to read and react to hostile situations quickly and effectively. The ability to combine or ‘stack’ multiple super powers provides a gameplay experience unlike any game yet and we are eager to see some of the creative solutions players come up with to get through the game.”

The title is set to release on Xbox One and Steam on January 19, 2016, and PlayStation 4 in early February. It will be priced at $14.99.

What are your thoughts on these new details?
